Flu season has begun in Arizona.
The Arizona Department of Health Services keeps a weekly log of the flu cases in AZ, and this past week was the initial uptick in cases in Arizona.
We are fortunate to have a great system of monitoring that gives us up-to-date information on the Flu in Arizona with specific information on the types that are in our community.
Currently, Influenza type B is commonplace….but over the coming weeks, the more common strain of Influenza A will emerged as dominant.
For now, you need to do the following:
- Get your flu shot if you haven’t done so
- Be good about washing your hands, etc….
- Be in touch if you get the flu, so you can get the Tamiflu or new Xofluza treatment
